Sarah Kleefield, MS, LM, CPM
Sarah (she/they) was born at home, where a midwife helped her mother bring them into the world. At 12 years old, they were checking out books on herbology from the library, and after high school she started working towards a nursing degree. However, nursing was not her calling, and she took a break from higher education.
They entered the Masters of Science in Midwifery program at Bastyr University in 2019. For her Masters track, she studied herbs used in pregnancy and childbirth, bringing their childhood curiosity full circle.
As a member of the LGBTQIA+ community, she is familiar with the gaps in our healthcare system. They are passionate about creating safe spaces and about providing evidence-based care to all birthing people. To Sarah, midwifery is compassionate informed care that builds relationships and trust, supporting and strengthening birthing people and families through one of their biggest life transitions.
Sarah currently lives on a farm in unincorporated King County with a herd of dogs and cats. I love meditating in nature, hiking, reading books, and cooking food…because food is a love language! They are also an avid knitter, sewing enthusiast, actress, and stage combat performer.
Sarah provides pregnancy, birth, newborn, and postpartum care. She sees clients and catches babies in Renton and at the In Tandem practice located in Burien.
