Rocio Evelin Carranza Jacinto, MPH Candidate

Rocio is a trained doula who has over 10+ years of experience in non-profit, K-12 education, and higher education program development. Rocio graduated from the University of Washington in 2016 and is currently pursuing her MPH from Johns Hopkins University. Rocio's research focuses on Child, Adolescent, and Maternal Health, specifically focusing on the racial inequities and social determinants that affect BIPOC communities. Rocio is currently working with Cocoon House and the Bloomberg American Health Initiative to implement Anti-Racist programs and policies within the organization. She is passionate about monitoring, assessing, and implementing preventative programs and policies that are equitable. Rocio sees her role within RVCC as an ally and she is looking forward to contributing to RVCC's mission
