Heather is thrilled to be working at Rainier Valley Midwives. She believes connection, community, and support are essential to wellness, and that there is no better example of supportive healthcare than midwifery. All three of her children were caught by local midwives and she is profoundly grateful to her midwives for their care. Heather is a huge fan of Rainier Valley Midwives' model of providing care based on access, inclusion, and evidence. She is so excited to be a part of an amazing team to learn from and serve our community.
Heather has facilitated group prenatal care classes in Seattle for the last three years, and she brings 10 years of volunteer non-profit leadership experience, most recently planning and implementing programs to advocate for racial equity in education in Southeast Seattle schools.
Heather lives in South Seattle with her partner, 3 kids, 6 chickens, 2 cats, and 1 wild dog. She enjoys being outdoors if possible, or reading books and cooking soup.
