Clarissa Phillips MPH
Board Secretary
Clarissa has worked in the development field since 2003 and specifically in research, evaluation, grant writing, and training since 2006. Her resolve to reduce disparities in health outcomes stems from her experiences as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Nepal. She graduated in 2007 from the University of Arizona with a Master’s of Public Health. She worked briefly with the U.S. State Department, seven years in the non-profit field, and has also taught at the University level.
Clarissa’s passion for midwifery care is personal: both of her sons were born under the loving and expert care of midwives. Her work and educational experience help to bring a data-focused perspective to her role as Board Secretary for SSWHF.
